What is coaching?

Coaching is a partnership that helps clients achieve their full potential and produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. The coaching relationship helps discover, clarify and initiate action on personal goals, strategies and systems. It accelerates progress in the achievement of objectives through listening, questioning, challenging and by assisting clients in establishing action plans, accountabilities and timelines.

Coaching is a collaborative partnership that will help you achieve more personal fulfillment then you would attain on your own.

Your ability to achieve the results you truly desire is a matter of both deep learning and real change. Coaching is about creating the shifts in viewpoint that are needed to stretch visions, values, goals, actions and abilities.

How does the coaching process work?
Coaching is about what is important to YOU. It's NOT about my agenda as your coach.

The coaching process begins with an intake session that is done in person or by telephone. This session is designed to exchange information, explain how the coaching process works and to put in place many of the coaching, creativity and assessment tools that will be used in the coaching process. From these tools and this conversation we will begin to gain understanding together about what the current results are in your life, what your desired results are for your life, and what the gap is between the two. The coaching relationship is focused on bridging that gap.

Each follow up session is then done in a telephone session lasting 30 to 45 minutes, three times a month. In each telephone meeting, you choose the focus of conversation. As coach, my job is to listen carefully and completely and contribute observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and helps move you into action. Each session usually ends with an assignment we co-create to help you move forward.

Coaching accelerates your progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where you are today and what you are willing to do to get where you want to be tomorrow. The coaching partnership gives you someone who's role in your life is to provide support and encouragement, view your context, goals, realities and barriers, who is an expert at helping you to explore possibilities, establish action plans, remove barriers and accomplish your goals. My job is to help you begin to move proactively toward your ideal future now.

How much does coaching cost?
Coaching packages are customized to meet specific needs. Most programs range from $450 to $600 per month.

Why is coaching a great investment?
Independent assessments have documented ROI from coaching to be over 500% This is the high value of a one-on-one professional relationship that maintains focus and clear direction. In a time when our economic investments are returning such low rewards, the time may be excellent to invest in an area of your life that can pay such huge rewards.

The more important questions, however may be:

  • What is the cost of NOT being coached?
  • How much more effective could you be if you had a coach?

What would it be worth to you to:

  • Increase your effectiveness?
  • Lower your stress?
  • Get serious about your goals and the highest priorities in your life?

These are the questions that may help you determine if coaching is right for you.

What coaching is NOT?
Coaching is not therapy. Therapy is past oriented and concentrates on dysfunctional to functional. Coaching is about taking you from functional to the next level of fulfillment you may have never even imagined or thought possible. I do not work with restorative or recovering clients. I work with individuals who are fully functioning and ready to stretch for far more than they have accomplished so far. ::: top >>
